And in the spirit of NaNoWriMo, I plan to write a story snippet per day this month. I don't know if they will all be linked into one story, or if they will just be exercises in fiction fun, but they will be written E V E R Y D A Y this month. That's my plan, and I'm going to stick to it.
If there's any good stuff, I'll move it over to AlwaysSababa at the month's end, possibly in some edited form.
The userpic, by the way, is from

So, I just had to post, because I'm feeling so pleased with myself. On Thursday my second article in a series on Javascript animations will be posted on http://www.webreference.com. This is not vanity press here, this is actual paid-for-being-an-expert-at-something writing. In fact, it's one of the best paid markets I've written for yet! Yay!!
My first ever non-fiction, non-academic, paper-based publication was last year in a magazine called Home Education Magazine, and ever since then I've felt slightly more like a "writer" than I ever have before in my 29 years of obsessive writing. (Yes, I started writing when I was 6. We can all go math, isn't that lovely?) Since then I feel less dorky when admitting that most of my writing actually gets published on the Web in one form or another. But, now that I've got a full-fledged article series getting published, I feel -- how can I say this without it sounding like I have a big head over it -- well, smart. (OK, I do have a big head. What of it?)
OK, so I gots no ma to pat me on the head and say, "Good girl!" so I'm just gonna walk 'round here all smug and show off for all o' y'alls. k?
